about
Mats Moolhuizen
Software engineer in The Hague. Backend by preference, everything else by necessity.

I build things for the JVM and in Go, mostly for Minecraft servers that take themselves far more seriously than the game does. I work on ImagineFun, run OpenAudioMc, and study computer science at De Haagse Hogeschool. I like fast feedback loops, over-engineering on purpose, and taking apart things I don’t own to see how they work.
Away from the keyboard I do theatre tech: lighting design and sound on shows from small productions to large musicals, on GrandMA2, ETC EOS and QLC+. Sometimes the two overlap, which is how a Minecraft server ended up speaking Art-Net.
